About us

We're a small shop of artists and metal workers. We love nature, and we love cutting what we see into steel.

We've spent a lot of years on the art festival and makers market circuit — packing the steel, setting a booth, and talking with people who love wildlife the way we do. All the miles and all the places. All the wildlife and all the nature. Still so much to see.

Wisconsin timber filled with bears. Northern Minnesota water and its loons and ducks. The Dakotas and Montana, where elk, moose, and mule deer still stop a truck. Arizona and New Mexico, and the southwest wildlife roaming the deserts and mountains. Nature is awe-inspiring and diverse. We love it all, and we love to share it with you.

When we get home we cut those scenes in steel — rustic lodge and wildlife, desert southwest, and metal word signs. A deer over a door. A loon by the lake house. A roadrunner on a southwest wall. Indoor or outdoor. Gifts for people who still talk about that trip.

The word signs started the same way. People at the booth asking if we could cut the saying they hang in the garage, the lake house, the kitchen. Sports. Hunting. Fishing. A little wine. Steel words, same shop, same finishes. Not the animals this time — the words people already say out loud.

Hammered paints, natural rust, and copper patinas. Our finishes are classic and timeless.

We're proud to build every single item right here in the USA, using steel from mostly recycled sources. We feel lucky that people love this work as much as we do.
